yea, manual is fine. you cant do auto with radio triggers anyway.

the 580 has a metal hotshoe too, so no breaks!

i can sell you my remaining vivitar cheap if you want, when i get ready to move to the 580's.

yea true, prolly not worth it to repair

now the dilemma, get a new 580 or get a set of pocket wizards... both are about 375

you can use the canon thing which is infared, or use pocket wizards or cactus triggers and get radio

just like the vivitars i have now.

do you know how much it is to get a new hotshoe and get it repaired?

a while ago, austin knocked down one of my light stands at ft. ord... broke the hotshoe

looking into repairing it or selling it and getting a ex580
